Open deck is its own trade

A dry van load is a number and an appointment. An open deck load is a shape — dimensions, weight distribution, securement, and whether the whole thing is legal in the four states it crosses. General freight boards treat that as a footnote. We built the posting form around it.

Every load posted to FlatLoads carries length, width, height, and weight as required fields, states whether it needs tarping and who pays for it, and spells out the securement the load needs. A carrier should be able to rule a load in or out before picking up the phone.

One account works across all of them, along with dispatch software, insurance, and quick-pay factoring, at no additional cost.

That matters more than it sounds. A carrier who pulls a flatbed in the summer and a hopper in the fall does not need two subscriptions and two logins, and a fleet running mixed equipment can see all of it from one place.
